ST. JOHN’S CHURCH/SCHOOL AGREEMENT
St John’s Church is committed to supporting St John’s school in nurturing its Christian ethos and the spiritual and moral development of its pupils.
The Church will:
- Welcome the school community to worship in church
- Contribute to management via foundation governors
- Uphold the school prayer
The Church will endeavour to:
- Host school assemblies in church during the year
- Offer regular assemblies and class lessons in school
- Facilitate involvement from the wider Christian community
- Maintain the quota of foundation governors
The School will endeavour to:
- Attend church for assemblies each academic year
- Show respect upon every visit – recognise that we are entering a place of worship
- Encourage class visits
- Encourage children to attend church services
