St John’s Church is committed to supporting St John’s school in nurturing its Christian ethos and the spiritual and moral development of its pupils.


The Church will:


  • Welcome the school community to worship in church


  • Contribute to management via foundation governors


  • Uphold the school prayer



The Church will endeavour to:


  • Host school assemblies in church during the  year


  • Offer regular assemblies and class lessons in school


  • Facilitate involvement from the wider Christian community


  • Maintain the quota of foundation governors



The School will endeavour to:


  • Attend church for assemblies each academic year


  • Show respect upon every visit – recognise that we are entering a place of worship


  • Encourage class visits


  • Encourage children to attend church services
