This week Year 2 have been looking at comparing and sorting 2-D and 3-D shapes by identifying and counting the faces, edges, vertices and the lines of symmetry they have. Children were then tasked with sorting a variety of shapes into as many different categories that they could think of, based on the week’s learning using Venn diagrams.
Year 3 have been learning and recognising that text and layout can be edited. They practised changing the font style, size and colour for a given purpose. They also practised editing.
Year 4 have begun learning all about hobbies in their French lessons this week. They have looked at what hobbies they love, like and don’t like.

We have started this half term looking at the composition of numbers 5-10. We are really enjoying exploring the different ways of making a number and using a range of resources to show this. Here we are making the number 6....
Miss Procter’s class hosted a teddy bears tea party for their grandparents on Friday. It was lovely to see the children learning about what their grandparents childhoods were like.
Last week Nursery started learning about mini-beasts and their habitats. We enjoyed making minibeasts using a range of natural materials.
This week, we designed and made our own monster hand puppets in DT. We stitched felt to join it together before adding our decoration.
Year 3 have been geographers this week and have begin exploring our ‘Rivers’ topic by learning about the water cycle. We began by talking about what we think it is and then learnt about the importance of the water cycle and the four main parts. Can your child remember how the cycle works?
