  • Nursery are explorers!

    Nursery have been reading the book ​'Alien Tea on Planet Zum-Zee.  We have learnt all about how to get into space and what we need to wear. We have then had fun getting ready for our tea party. We made alien party hats and we had fun decorating cakes, we then blasted off to planet Zum-Zee to have our tea party. It was lots of fun!

  • Year 2 are Researchers…

    This week Year 2 have used laptops and iPads in their geography lessons to research Antarctica and the Sahara Desert. Using the laptops needed lots of different skills such as click and drag and using a keyboard. The children did some amazing research and found out lots of great facts. Well done, Year 2! 

  • Year 3 are mathematicians

    This week we have continued to look at fractions in maths. We have been finding unit fractions of sets of objects. We used concrete materials to support our understanding. 

  • Year 5 are bakers

    This week, year 5 continued their DT topic making sweet/savoury muffins. We started by sensory tasting a range of ingredients, looking at the method, writing the recipe and then making the muffins. The classroom smelt amazing and they tasted delicious! 

  • Year 5 understand decimals

    On Thursday, it was World Maths Day. As year 5 have been learning about decimals in maths, we decided to race each other on the playground and record our time. We then practiced rounding the decimals and converting them into fractions. 

  • World Maths Day - Taking Maths outdoors

    Today is World Maths Day. Year 3 have taken their maths learning outdoors. We used our fractions knowledge, our angle knowledge and our times table knowledge and applied into the outdoors. After half term we will be looking at measurement so we had a station reviewing what we already know. It’s amazing how much maths fun you can have outdoors. 

  • Year 3 have explored Easter with Mrs Owen

    This week Year 3 were lucky enough to have a visit from Reverend Owen from one of our Salford Church’s. Mrs Owen came into school to share what Easter looks like in her church.  We discussed special events, how the church prepares and what she has to wear and why. Year 3 really impressed her with their existing knowledge and impeccable behaviour.  Well done Year 3 you made us proud once again.  

  • Year 2 Vision and Values Day

    On Friday we celebrated Vision and Values day. We went round a carousel of activities with each one being linked to a different school value:

     

    - We wrote positive messages on love hearts for the value of love.

    - We thought about things we want to say sorry for or be forgiven for whilst holding special paper that then disappeared when we put it in water for the value of forgiveness.

    - We planted some seeds and will watch these grow with our help for the the value of faith.

    - We worked as teams to build a structure using magnetic tiles for the value of friendship.

    - We worked in pairs to guide our friend around an obstacle course with their eyes closed for the value of trust.

     

    It was a great afternoon! 

     

  • Year 6 are Pop Artists

    Fri 13 Mar 2026 Miss Hardman and Miss Brittain

    This week, Year 6 started to explore Pop Art. We discussed the style and the different colours involved. The children then worked on creating their own. We think you’ll be really impressed with the results!

  • Year 5 understand the school values

    This week, we had Vision and Values day. We took part in 6 different activities based on the values and got stamps on our values passports. One of the values was trust in which we had to trust our partner during a blindfolded obstacle course.
