Year 5 have been using search engines to make web searches on the internet. We have learned how to refine our search to find specific information.

This week in Music, Year 6 have been listening to hip hop. We identified its key features and appraised various songs. The children have now started to create their own hip hop tracks - keep an eye out for them in the charts soon! 

This week Year 3 have been learning how to read coordinates from a grid reference map. They first practiced how to read a grid reference practically by moving horizontally (reading the letter) then vertically (reading the number) before applying this knowledge to then reading a map of our local area and naming the coordinates of certain landmarks. 

Today, Year 4 estimated where 4 digit numbers were on a number line. They worked hard to work out what the number lines were going up in and making a sensible estimate where the number was. 

Year 2 have progressed their Maths learning this week to writing numbers in words to 100. This is tricky skill that they worked really hard to grasp - keep practising this at home please. 

This week in Reception we have been looking at ourselves and how we look. We have used lots of differences resources to create our faces. 

Some of our year 5 children have been taking part in bikeability this week! They have been learning lots of new skills and have been out cycling on the roads to practice their new skills! 

Nursery are working hard this week to make silly faces. We have been talking about what features they need to put on the face and then they are having fun tearing paper to make hair. Well done Nursery!
