    Nursery have been learning all about the festival Diwali. We looked at the story of Rama and Sita, made Rangoli patterns and Diya lamps. We loved learning about the festival of light. 

     

  • Year 6 are scientists

    Mon 04 Nov 2024 Miss Hardman and Mrs Elliott

    Year 6 finished their work on the circulatory system by dissecting a lamb’s heart. The children used their knowledge to identify different parts of the heart and to explain their role in the system.

    This week in PSHE we have been learning how to live healthy lifestyle. We created posters to share with the other classes to educate them on what we have learnt.

    This week year 3 have been learning our new story Anansi and the Tiger. They have been showing off their actions and story telling skills!

  • Year 2 are Artists …

    Year 2 have been practicing their shading and use of colour this week in Art. We have been studying the artist Claude Monet and in particular his paintings of waterlilies. The children have then been experimenting with paint and using white to make a lighter tone and black to make a darker tone recreating the colours from his paintings. 

  • Year 4 are super learners!

    Year 4 have had a great first week back being super learners. They have been mathematicians measuring objects within the classroom, musicians composing their own melodies and historians enquiring about women’s rights.

    Reception have been looking at repeated patterns this week. They have used different resources to show a range of repeated patterns. 

  • Year 5 are Still Life Artists

    This week, Year 5 have been drawing and painting still life versions of fruit, focusing on perspective. The still life artwork has been inspired by the works of Georgia O’Keefe and Paul Cezanne. They have used similar techniques to the artists to create their final piece. The children showed great care and concentration!
