  • Year 4 are artists

    Year 4 completed their art pieces this week by added paint to their clay masks. 

  • Year 5 are quiz creators

    Year 5 have been creating quizzes on Scratch in their computing sessions. They have thought about a chosen topic and then created questions, answers and responses that link to the topic. Topics have included football, space and animals. 

  • Nursery are Storytellers!

    This week Nursery enjoyed taking part in the National Literacy Trust's live lesson. We enjoyed listening to the story, 'Stanley's Stick' told with music and we all joined in, pretending that our sticks were different objects. Afterwards we then enjoyed having magical adventures with our sticks outside.

  • Year 2 are Mathematicians…

    This week our maths learning has been focussed on fractions. We have been recognising and finding halves, thirds and quarters. We have now moved onto unit and non unit fractions as well equivalent questions. This has been a tricky topic but Year 2 have blown us away with their effort and progress.

    Year 1 have been working extremely hard this week, finding halves and quarters of a quantity.

    Year 4 have been exploring the work of Kimmy Cantrell in art. The children have started to create some fantastic masks in the style of Kimmy using clay.

    This week Nursery have been learning about different materials. We enjoyed exploring the magnets and finding out which materials were magnetic in our classroom.

    This week we are enjoying ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. We have been predicting what we think will happen, asking and answering lots of questions and retelling the story. We are going to continue to deepen our understanding of this story this week and next. 

  • Year 3 are sculptors!

    This week in art, year 3 have continued to handle and manipulate clay. We have controlled the material to achieve a desired effect. We experimented with different tools to create different patterns. 

  • Year 5 are geographers

    Mon 11 May 2026 Mrs Pemberton

    Year 5 have been enjoying their geography topic about coasts. They learnt about coastal erosion which is the process where the sea slowly "eats away" at the land, wearing down cliffs, beaches, and rocks.
