We have been looking at the artist, Edvard Munch and discussing the impressionistic way his art can show emotions and feelings. We initially looked at free form movement, using string to convey the different emotions before we moved onto free form, continuous pencil drawing and looking at colours that reflect mood.
We will then be creating our own version of The Scream using these skills

Today we have been looking at the country’s best loved poems.
These have ranged from Shakespeare’s sonnets to The Sound Collector…
We selected our favourite ones then took our time to rewrite them in our neatest handwriting. Lastly we will soon be delivering these to our local community to share our love of poetry. We hope they like them!
Last week Nursery enjoyed poetry week. We read the poem, 'Hurt no Living Thing.' The children then enjoyed going on bug hunts to find minibeasts. They also enjoyed making butterflies and ladybirds in the creative area. Well done Nursery!
