  • Year 4 have been cartographers this week

Fri 30 Jun 2023 Mr Jones and Mrs Phelan

This week we have started our new topic - we will be studying about the country, Greece.

However, we started this Mediterranean journey by studying the continents and their position on the globe. We researched them and created a great set of facts about each of them.

Secondly, we then focused our learning by studying Europe in more detail.  We started by looking at Google Earth and then worked on our map skills to find out more specific details about it.  We loved using Google Earth to navigate around Europe and learnt so much.

Lastly, we looked at Greece in more detail and worked out which seas were close to it. We also investigated other interesting facts about it.  We are also excited to use all these skills when we will be creating a tourism guide about Greece during our English lessons.
