Reception are Scientists
Tue 23 Jan 2024This week in Reception we went outside to look for bugs. We explored our outdoor provision and then used our phonic knowledge to write down the names of the insects we found.

Year 6 are website designers
Tue 23 Jan 2024Over the last couple of weeks we have been honing our computer skills to develop and design our own website. We have recently been learning about Mary Anning so have been using this as inspiration to create our own website, using Google Sites

Nursery are artists
Mon 22 Jan 2024Last week Nursery explored printing with a range of objects. We enjoyed printing with pattern stampers, vegetables and dinosaurs.

Year 1 are Geographers…
Fri 19 Jan 2024This week Year 1 have been looking at the UK countryside and the Australian Outback. We have been describing and comparing these two places. The children have really enjoyed using their atlas skills to find where the UK and Australia are on a map. They’ve also been really interested in looking at these places on a globe.

Thu 18 Jan 2024Year 2 are really enjoying their PE sessions with Coach Dave. They have been working on their throwing and catching skills through playing different games.

Wed 17 Jan 2024This week in computing, year 4 explored what algorithms are. We then looked at how we could use algorithms to create a piece of code that would allow us to write our initials on the computer. We started by practising writing the code then moved onto applying it on the computers.

Year 3 are internet safety superstars
Wed 17 Jan 2024This week we have been learning all about why it is so important to stay safe online and how we can do this. We have talked about what we use the internet for and how we do this. We have looked at what cyber bullying is and what is an appropriate and inappropriate use of the internet.

Reception are understanding the world around us
Wed 17 Jan 2024Reception had so much fun in the snow. We worked together to make snow men, we listened to the sound of fresh snow when being walked on and we threw snow balls in to the air to see what happened when they hit the ground.

Year 6 are well-being warriors
Tue 16 Jan 2024This week, we had an exciting well-being workshop from Talk, Listen, Change all about positive and negative feelings. We discussed how to recognise different or complex emotions. We talked about how to look inwards and focus on how to stay positive and learnt about our survival, thinking and our emotions brain.
