Year 1 are Excellent at English…
Wed 05 Feb 2025This week we have been spending time practicing our sentence writing skills. We have been writing these independently then sharing our sentences with the rest of the class. Our big focus has been on using our ‘tappy pencil’ and tapping each word we have written to help us know what our next word is to write. We have been blown away with the children’s independence this week, it’s been amazing to see their growth in confidence during these lessons!

Reception’s Church Visit
Wed 05 Feb 2025Reception visited Church to look for key items within Church. They worked extremely hard and could discuss the items found.

Year 4 are story tellers
Tue 04 Feb 2025This week Year 4 started their new English unit. We are participating in National Storytelling Week and on Monday we had a live lesson with author Tola Okogwu who wrote the exciting ‘Onyeka’ series. She gave us some top tips on how to create our own stories. We can wait to see characters and stories unfold this week.

Year 5 are Musicians
Tue 04 Feb 2025Year 5 continued their topic on singing and playing in different styles. In this lesson they focused on the tempo of a song and began to perform the song through singing and playing on the glockenspiels.

Nursery are Storytellers!
Mon 03 Feb 2025This week is storytelling week and Nursery were greeted with a very exciting box.
We opened the box to find different props and stories. The children had a lovely time creating their own stories and reading stories from our library.

Year 6 are Storytellers
Mon 03 Feb 2025Today Year 6 started their new English unit. We are participating in National Storytelling Week and today we had a live lesson with the brilliant author Tola Okogwu who wrote the ‘Onyeka’ series. She helped us understand how to create our own stories. We can’t wait to get creative with our own writing now over the next two weeks!
