  • Year 1 are drummer and creators…

    Fri 27 Jun 2025

We had such a great morning at our Druhm workshop! The children really impressed us with their counting skills and this helped them keep the beat of the music. For the rest of the day we’ve had Art day! 1P have focussed on textiles and done weaving, finger knitting and sewing. It’s taken a lot of resilience but everyone has improved their skills so much with their perseverance. 1H have been making clay pots, inspired by Jon Stuart Anderson. Creating patters on their pots was challenging but they all tried their best. Great job Year 1! Next week the classes with swap round.

Year 5 got to see their names in Arabic, learnt about The Five Pillars of Islam, heard a demonstration of the traditional call to prayer and had an opportunity to take part in Rak’ah which are the movements of prayer in Islam. Both classes behaved impeccably and showed great respect and showed a great desire to explore the concepts of Islam. The staff at the Mosque were amazed at the children’s understanding.
