• Year 3 are performers

  Year 3 have loved showing their talents off on the instruments at their 3 year music performance this Friday. They have worked so hard with Mr Lane during Autumn term and they put on a great show. 

  

• Year 2 are Scientists.

  This week Year 2 are Scientists and have been out exploring our local environment identifying and classifying things as living, non-living or never been alive. Children have had to apply their knowledge of the 7 life processes to help them classify different objects. They have then been exploring outside looking at different micro habitats and noting what mini beasts they discovered in them; ranging from slugs and centipedes to ladybirds and woodlouse. 

  

• Year 4 are superstars

  Year 4 have been such superstars this week. They have worked incredibly hard on their DT projects and have planned a letter to Santa from the Christmasaurus explaining why they should be able to pull the sleigh on Christmas Eve. They have also wowed us with their knowledge of the formal method for multiplication. 
  Well done Year 4!

  

• Reception are Investigators

  Reception have been discussing the changes from Autumn to Winter. They were able to describe the natural changes in the surrounding environment. 

  

• Year 5 are scientists

  Tue 10 Dec 2024 Mr Pierre-Wilkinson + Mr Bawden

  This week, Year 5 completed an experiment that explored the most effective materials that could be used to filter water. 
  The materials we used were; coffee filter, cloth and scourer pad and sieves. They then talked about the reasons as to why certain materials filtered the water better than others.

  

• Year 6 are Festive Fun Runners

  On Friday, Year 6 had a great time running round the park dressed in their festive outfits. We really enjoyed completing the exercise challenges (even if our legs hurt tackling the final hill after the lunges!). We are now officially in the Christmas spirit!

  We had a great morning on Friday doing our festive fun run in the park. Mrs Procter definitely enjoyed herself running around  dressed as a Christmas pudding. We did lots of reindeer reaches, pudding punches, laughing lunges and more!

  

• Year 3 are book talkers

  On Monday the children had the chance to do a book talk for their parents and carers. The children loved being able to share the books they have read in school and read to Miss Stigant, Mr Bailey and Miss Brittain as well as their friend across the year group. 

  

• Year 2 are Actors

  This week Year 2 have blown the staff, pupils and their families away with their incredible performances of their Christmas play Lights Camel Action 2! The Sequin. We are so proud of their amazing singing, dancing and acting and all the effort they have put into this show. It was a pleasure to see them having so much fun and we hope everyone who watched loved it as much as we did. 

  

• Year 4 are Designers

  This week Year 4 have started their Design and Technology unit where they will make an ornament for classroom reflection areas. They have been exploring different materials to find out which ones are the most appropriate and have even practised their sewing skills.
