Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Over the last week Year 4 have been exploring our local habitat and the issues we face. They even wrote a letter to Mrs Rubin about the rubbish problem in the area surrounding our school. They have been classifying animals in the local area using dichotomous keys and have begun to investigate issues facing animals in the wild. Well done Year 4! We are so proud of you.
It was lovely to have lots of parents and carers join us on Monday for our phonics with friends workshop. The children wowed them with their enthusiasm, skills and knowledge - we are really proud of the pupils progress in phonics!
We have come to the end of our Geography topic this week and the children have been planning and performing their own weather reports using their knowledge of the countries in the UK.
On Thursday 3rd October it will be National Poetry Day. This week, Year 5 have been learning about the poem “The Tyger” by William Blake. They have been investigating the meaning around the poem and have begun making their own version using different animals.
