This half term we are learning all about God's world and how we can take care of it. We went around school to do a litter pick. The children are very passionate about taking care of our planet.
Year 3 loved using the drums today in their DRUHM workshop. We had so much fun.
This week Year 4 started a new story telling cycle using a non fiction piece all about crime and punishment. We had some super text maps. They also performed their stepping and speaking pieces. We’ve got lots of brilliant actors and actresses. Well done Year 4 keep up the hard work.
This week, we have been writing our own children’s picture books. We read some famous ones first and have started to consider the settings and characters for our own. We are so excited to share them with the children on Daisy Bank when we have finished.
Nursery have been looking at healthy and unhealthy foods in class over the past few weeks. They helped Mrs Halpin-Power write a shopping list to make a delicious fruit smoothie. They then helped make the smoothie as well as have a taste of it.
Year 3 have had the best day on their trip to Chester!
Year 2 are really enjoying their RE topic and learning about Judaism. This week, they learnt about the Jewish festival of Hanukkah and the story of where the festival originated.
This afternoon we have continued our science topic about plants and trees. We used an app called Seek to help us identify different trees, measured their circumference and did a bark rubbing.
On Monday Year 4 wowed us with their rockstar looks. We had a busy day completing different multiplication activities including TTRS battles against our teachers and games outside.
