Nursery had a visit from the farm 2 weeks ago. We had so much fun learning about the different animals. We were able to stroke the animals and feed them food.
Year 3 have begun their history topic on ‘The Romans’ We began by learning about how they invaded Briton and why they did it. We had to think about the pros and cons of invading. We are really enjoying our new topic.
Year 1 were invited to sing at an afternoon tea event at St. John’s Church this week and they blew everyone’s socks off! They also designed and wrote ‘positivity’ cards for the attendees with positive messages to make them smile. These were greatly received and we had so many compliments on our amazing singing.
Year 2 really enjoyed Maths Rockstar day this week. We took part in a variety of exciting maths activities and learned lots of new and interesting maths facts!

Year 3 have been thinking and talking about what happens in church. The children had to look at St. John’s church notice board and then talk about what they would see through the stain glass window and then freeze frame it.
Last week we had a great morning at our sports day. Our teachers were so impressed with how well we worked as a team in the relay race, how hard we tried with each event and how much we cheered each other on!
Year 2 have been learning about mass and to help us, we made chocolate brownies! We used scales to measure the ingredients in grams to make our brownies. In the afternoon, we got to eat them and they were delicious. Some of us even made more at home!
This week Year 4 have been super scientists. They have been exploring electricity circuits and learning about what makes a torch work. We have lots of super questions and explanations. We have also carried out investigations on which materials make the best insulators and conductors. Well done Year 4, keep up the hard work!
Year 3 were amazing at sports day where they showed their amazing skills and sportsmanship skills.
