Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
This week we explored the text The Marriage of Ganesh in English. We became storytellers to re tell main events from the story and created freeze frames for these events.
Year 4 have made a fantastic start to the new year and have been using the equipment in maths. We have been looking at place value and exploring 4 digit numbers.
Keep up the fabulous work Year 4, we are incredibly proud of you!
Well we are into our 2nd week in year 6 and we’ve packed so much in already.
It was lovely to meet with so many of our parents and carers today - it gave the children an opportunity to share with you their favourite books. It’s so nice to see the children being passionate about their book choices and they are always eager to share what they’re reading about.
Mr Jones and Miss Hardman
The first group of Nursery children have enjoyed their first week in school. They have had lots of fun exploring their new classroom and making new friends. Well done Nursery!
Year 2 have impressed us in maths this week with their knowledge of place value. They have been working hard to partition 2-digit numbers into tens and ones and have been using lots of practical resources to support their learning.
Today we have been making our masks based on the artist, Kimmy Cantrell. We have been developing our sculpting skills and have based our clay work on our designs from earlier in the week. We have been working on our understanding to sculpt, model and construct.
Our masks look amazing and we can’t wait to paint them next week.
The children have learnt how to draw cartoons. They did an amazing job!
This week Nursery have been practising their phonics skills with an egg and spoon race. They had to look at the letter on the ball and identify the phoneme sound. They then had to carefully carry it on their spoon and find the box with the matching picture on it. Well done Nursery!
